Courier Christmas List!

Posted by Gertie on 10-Nov-2017 15:53:16

Hello, all. Surprise!!!

That's right, this week, you're getting the rarest of treats: a tandem post between your dear Aunt Gertie and your good friend (and my dear nephew) Stevie! I know, isn't that fab?

A Christmas Collaboration

To be fair, you have Stevie to thank for this - it was his idea to have us write a collaborative post. The thing is, once he took a gander at my Christmas list and saw all the courier-inspired gifts (including his) he got an idea. He mentioned he had a series of gifts inspired by courier jobs himself, and suggested we should get together and let you lot in on our picks in case you wanted to use them for your own festive shopping lists!

So, in the lines below, that's what we're going to be doing – giving you a few ideas of fab Christmas gifts to give to that friend, colleague or relative who works doing courier jobs for a living. We're going to take turns – one for me, one for Stevie – so see whose suggestions you like best and let us know! Are you ready? We hope you are, because here we go!

Handpresso Wild Espresso Maker: It's a hands-free espresso maker for your car. Enough said. I want one – do you hear that, Aunt Gertie? Steve.

Parrot Asteroid Mini: This is a little gadget that connects to your car stereo and mobile phone, so you can choose your music or take phone calls hands-free, all in one place. You can also access alerts and notifications about your route, which I think you'll agree is a very useful feature when doing courier jobs. Gertie

Road Angel Gem: Road Angel dashboard cameras are wicked (not to mention dead useful) and this is the latest and best. Again, not much to explain here – it's something useful, it's really good, and I wish I had one. Steve

Portable Jumper Starter Kit: I'm going to take a page out of Stevie's book here and say: "enough said". The reason a portable jumper starter kit is useful when you make a living doing courier jobs is rather self-explanatory, and I personally think no courier should go without one. There, enough said! Gertie

There you have it, then. Two courier-inspired Christmas gift suggestions from each of us. There are plenty of other gadgets you can buy for a car or van, of course – but for our money, these are the most worthwhile. Do you agree? Disagree? Feel free to write in and let us know.

For now, though, be well, and ta-ra!
